Meditation is Good for Your Heart. The researchers, led by Dr. Chayakrit Krittanawong of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Baylor College of Medicine, and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, looked at data on more than 61,000 survey participants, from the National Health Interview Survey, conducted annually by the National Center for Health Statistics.
